I think it's an incredibly brave thing he has done, and I am glad to see he has the support of his wife.

And I missed you, too :)

See, i love that term! I Think it's brilliant! Spike TV holds an anual awards show for sci-fi, fantasy, comics, and horror called the Scream awards. This year Harrison ford, accepting the American Hero award, made reference to the fact that the Academy Awards don't even typically acknowledge these industries films. Shame on critics. Trust your guts, people!

actually, I walk out of what you call "torture porn" saying exactly that, "OMG! Did you see how they mutilated and dismembered that guy? It was totally freaking awesome!" It is, in point of fact, exactly why I watch them. I want to see the gruesome death. I want to see, in every technicolor HD detail the way it happens, why it happens, how it is done.

The beauty of the genre is that the true horror happens when we can see in ourselves the killer's motivation. When you see Saw IV and you come to realise the why, the truly terrifying moments are when your secret heart relates. Because it means that, given the right setting and the right impetus, maybe you can be that way, too.

Honey, I know that feeling. After a ridiculous long time trying to conceive, we stopped trying so hard ad I became distracted by shiny things and a new kitten and I threw myself into writing, and suddenly I was very late and the fear and shame and doubt was almost as intense as the the joy of possibility. You see, when I relized how late I was, my first reaction was "Oh no!" And I hated myself for it. I'm here if you ever want to just vent. [HEART]
